Steel Horse Stampede is excited to invite riders and community members to saddle up for one of the most anticipated events of the year! The 17th Annual Steel Horse Stampede takes place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, with the ride kicking off at 1:00 pm from Burkesville Christian Church, 101 North Main Street, Burkesville KY (sign-ups begin onsite at 12:00 pm). Rain or shine, this ride promises to be a day full of fun!
The annual Steel Horse Stampede event is more than just a scenic 40-mile ride through the winding backroads of Cumberland County. It’s an opportunity to come together for a greater cause! Every dollar raised goes directly to We Care and the Cumberland County Rescue Squad.
- Helping Cumberland County cancer patients with travel expenses to and from their doctor and cancer treatment appointments. Cancer patients often face travel-related expenses that can average as much as $150 - $200 each visit for fuel, parking, and time. While assistance programs exist to help offset some of these costs, many patients still bear a heavy financial burden just to access essential treatment.
The first 500 riders to register for the ride will receive a free Steel Horse Stampede T-shirt as a keepsake from this very special day.
After the ride, participants will meet at the Cumberland County High School Gym and be treated to a delicious home-cooked meal prepared by local churches. At just $20 per rider (meal included) and $10 for passengers, it’s an unbeatable combination of great riding, hearty food and supporting a meaningful mission!
