Cumberland County's Fourth of July celebration is a holiday event where neighbors gather, families reconnect, and visitors feel like locals for a day. From early morning to the final fireworks, this full-day celebration is packed with local flavor, friendly competition, and opportunities to make memories that stick.

A Full Day of Activities, From Dawn to Dazzle

The day starts with purpose and gratitude. At 8:00 a.m., the community honors local heroes at the Veterans Breakfast, where the Cumberland County Quilt Guild will present handmade quilts to eight deserving veterans. It's a moving tribute that sets the tone for a day that's as heartfelt as it is festive.

Then the action kicks off. If you are up early, you will start the day off with a 5K at 7:00 a.m., with registration starting bright and early at 6:30 a.m. Later, you could be tossing bags at the Cornhole Tournament or judging crusts at the All-American Pie Contest; there's always something happening.

Interns Bring the Fun And the Competition

Evening Highlights Bring the Crowd Together

Things shift into high gear as the sun goes down. The Bike Parade, sponsored by State Farm and Wade Flowers, rolls out at 6:00 p.m., led by the support of State Farm. Then, the DJ takes over from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. with high-energy music that'll keep the crowd moving.

At 9:00 p.m., all eyes turn to the sky. The fireworks show is the grand finale, lighting up the Cumberland County sky and wrapping up the day with a display that brings people to their feet.
